At STO Union, we often work with true stories as the foundation of our theatre projects. In a time when more newspapers are closing, and the line between truth and lies becomes increasingly blurred, we turned to experts in journalism to gain insights into what makes a good story.
This online series features three perspectives: a reporter, an editor, and a reader, each offering their unique take on the craft of storytelling:
- The Reporter: Crime reporter Gary Dimmock shares his insights into journalism through a series of short audio reports.
- The Editor: Toronto Star editor Keith Bonnell provides his five essential tips on what makes a story resonate.
- The Reader: STO Union’s artistic director Nadia Ross on why reading matters.
