Bibliothèque Gabrielle-Roy
for more info: La Scène Imaginée
Since 2022, the project the Empty Stage has traveled to various events where participants have generously shared their imaginations with us. These locations include Berlin at HAU Hebbel am Ufer, the Centre Wakefield La Pêche in Wakefield, and In the Soil in St. Catharines, Ontario. At the most recent event, The Hopes and Fears Assembly in Toronto at the Harbourfront Centre for Nuit Blanche, 533 drawings were created, forming a moving series that captured the imagination of the city at that time. A few of these will be shared online as we work on finding a way to present the entire body of work.
If you’d like to invite this project to your location, event, or venue, please contact us: info@stounion.com

What would you put on the stage? Colour, draw, collage, text…whatever your medium is, let us know how you would fill in the empty space.
The stage is a place where we share what’s in our imaginations – what’s in yours?
Help us re-image what a stage could be.
